New Presidents Message 2007

August 1, 2007
Welcome to Lunenburg Youth Football and Cheerleading! For those of you
who are new to the program, I want to extend a warm welcome and thank you for
joining the Bengals family.
I would like to start by thanking all of our players, cheerleaders,
coaches, sponsors, supporters & volunteers for the long, rich history of
youth football in Lunenburg.
As we enter our 27th season, we anticipate another
successful year. Our new Executive Board and new family of volunteers have been
working diligently to provide a fun & exciting atmosphere for our youth.
Our coaches are extremely motivated in teaching your children the sport of
football and cheerleading and how to have fun and be safe at all times. The
number of kids who have signed up this year for both football and cheerleading
has been impressive and the coaches are very optimistic about the upcoming
season.
We as an organization could not be successful without the generous
support and contributions from our local businesses and families. Please review
our list of sponsors and thank them for their generosity. We also ask that you
patronize our local business sponsors and thank them for their support. This
year we have several Platinum Sponsors; Special thanks to Powell Stone &
Gravel, Splash Car Wash & Rockwell Roofing. We also teamed up with some
corporate sponsors such as Dicks Sporting Goods, The Real Estate Exchange,
Homevestors Inc, A to Z Quality Vending, Forstrom Tree Service & Proctor Landscape & Masonry Supply. These contributions we receive are vital to
the success of the Bengals organization. These funds provide a safe, fun &
exciting atmosphere for our children. The money raised is used directly towards
the purchase of new, updated and much needed equipment and uniforms.
Please assist and support our players and cheerleaders by purchasing a
September 2007 Fundraising Calendar. We will also have several other
“fun”raisers throughout the season and all your support is welcome and
necessary for the Bengals continued success and growth. We can always use
volunteers and if you have some extra time, please contact any of the board
members or coaches.
This season for the 1st time, all Lunenburg Bengals home
games will be played on Saturday afternoon and into the night. Football under
the lights will be exciting for all. We as an organization have some fun things
planned and look forward to seeing you on the field…
Rick Hill
President, Lunenburg Bengals
